Hey Cow, I see you now! Auction – September 21, 2024

The Festival de la Curd is proud to invite you to a unique event: the Hey Cow, I See You Now! Auction. This special occasion will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the St-Albert Community Centre starting at 2:30 PM.

Why Attend?
This auction will feature life-sized fiberglass cows, painted by local artists in 2020 and 2021. These pieces were displayed throughout the region to celebrate local art and agricultural traditions. All funds raised will go towards building a new children’s playground at Jean-Maurice Lavergne Park.

The  Business Bootcamp is designed for farmers who are:

  • Eager to plan their expenses, revenue, and profits throughout a year
  • Stuck on how to market their products
  • Looking to build confidence in their ability to run a farm business
  • Overwhelmed with where to look for loans, grants, and other sources of funding
  • Excited to have guidance from other farmers who have been in their shoes

The Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre, in partnership with the London Small Business Centre and with the support of the Eastern Ontario Agri-Food Network, is launching a new program: Foodpreneur Advantage.

This program offers excellent resources for aspiring food entrepreneurs in our region. Through introductory seminars and training (no cost to participate!), participants will gain the knowledge and support needed to turn their food business ideas into reality. The program runs four times per year, with the next session starting August 16th.

Open House: Cornwall’s Tree Preservation Bylaw

The goal of this public webinar is to provide background information on the City’s Tree Preservation By-Law.

After a short presentation, there will time for Q&A, for attendees to ask questions.

This virtual open house is part of the Phase 1 of consultation and engagement. In Phase 2, we will share how the feedback collected during Phase 1 has been incorporated into draft By-Law options.

There will also be an in-person open house Thursday, July 18, 6pm – 8pm at the City’s Infrastructure and Municipal Works Administration Building, 1225 Ontario Street, Cornwall.
