The Eastern Ontario Agri-Food Network is a regional player in the local food movement across Ontario. We are not alone. We collaborate with many other organizations in Ontario to support and discover the wonderful local flavours that farms and food artisans have to offer.
Sustain Ontario
Sustain Ontario, of which the EOAN is a member, is a province-wide, cross-sectoral alliance that promotes healthy food and farming. Our mission is to provide coordinated support for productive, equitable and sustainable food and farming systems that support the health and wellbeing of all people in Ontario, through collaborative action.
Buy Local Food Across Ontario Alliance
Sustain Ontario also coordinates the Buy Local Food Across Ontario alliance. These regional initiatives promote food and beverage products that are grown, raised, or harvested within their respective region, including products that are subsequently processed. Most initiatives focus on community economic development, food strategy and/or agritourism activities, and many also provide public resources about the food system.
Eastern Ontario Local Food and Farming Collaborative
The Eastern Ontario Local Food and Farming Collaborative is a collection of local food organizations across the broader eastern Ontario, including the EOAN, that shares ideas, best practices, and resources to advance the opportunities of local food among farmers, food artisans, and consumers, and governments.
