Foodpreneur Advantage

The Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre, in partnership with the London Small Business Centre and with the support of the Eastern Ontario Agri-Food Network, is launching a new program: Foodpreneur Advantage.

This program offers excellent resources for aspiring food entrepreneurs in our region. Through introductory seminars and training (no cost to participate!), participants will gain the knowledge and support needed to turn their food business ideas into reality. The program runs four times per year, with the next session starting August 16th.

Foodpreneur Advantage connects participants with industry experts, provides mentorship opportunities, and covers essential topics such as:

  • Starting a Food Business & Regulatory Compliance
  • How to Sell Your Food Product
  • Costing & Pricing for Profits
  • Marketing & Branding Your Food Product
  • Labelling & Packaging Your Food Product
  • Selling to Food Retailers

The program has a proven track record of helping launch successful food businesses in southern Ontario, including specialty snacks, beverages, and baked good and now its our turn in Eastern Ontario!

Bioenterprise is now accepting applications for the Grow Ontario Accelerator Hub (GOAH) Initiative. We’ve already onboarded some truly innovative companies and we can’t wait to tell you all about them.

 

But in the meantime, we have space for more!

 

What is GOAH?

GOAH provides valuable resources and support to innovative Ontario-based agri-food and agri-tech companies.

 

GOAH offers:

·     customized mentorship with our expert Innovation Advisors.

·     access to essential information and tools via our Resource Hub.

·     connection to our partner network through Canada’s Food & Agri-Tech Engine.

·     professional business support services through trusted Service Providers.

 

GOAH is support at your speed. It’s fully remote and available when you need it. We don’t require in-office visits or co-location.

 

Eligible companies must:

·     be located, registered, and carrying on business in Ontario;

·     be operating in the agriculture, agri-food, and agri-based products sectors;

·     have products, services, or solutions that address at least one of the Ontario agriculture research priority areas, and;

·     align with the goals set out by OMAFA through their Grow Ontario Strategy.
