PARO Cluster Innovation Tables (CIT)

PARO is organisation a series of cluster innovation tables (CIT) to help women-owned companies in the consumer-packaged goods space scale. CITs provide space for women entrepreneurs to discuss obstacles to business growth, while community leaders and advisors talk about collective resources and solutions available.  Important to this process is developing collaborative strategies including potential policy, program and protocol alternatives that will work to make positive system change and increased gender equity.

The events are free and virtual.

 

Do you Qualify?

 In order to qualify you need to:

  1. Be a woman owned, woman led business; where you have at least 51% ownership.
  2. Be at least 2 years in Business.
  3. Have the business registered in one of these provinces: BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, NS, NL
  4. Have $50,000 in sales for at least two consecutive years.
  5. be ready to take active steps to grow/scale your business [regionally, nationally, internationally].
  6. be in the consumer packaged good space
  7. Participants can only participate in ***one*** of the CITs.

  1. The CIT’s will be held from 13h00 to 15h00 EST

FEAST Program

The FEAST Accreditation Program will provide pathways and resources to Indigenous food tourism businesses aspiring to grow and improve their experiences and market readiness. The program will have both operator-facing and visitor-facing components, and participants will complete a checklist with several criteria that will assist them in providing authentic and meaningful cultural experiences for visitors through amazing and meaningful Indigenous foodways.

Hey Cow, I see you now! Auction – September 21, 2024

The Festival de la Curd is proud to invite you to a unique event: the Hey Cow, I See You Now! Auction. This special occasion will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the St-Albert Community Centre starting at 2:30 PM.

Why Attend?
This auction will feature life-sized fiberglass cows, painted by local artists in 2020 and 2021. These pieces were displayed throughout the region to celebrate local art and agricultural traditions. All funds raised will go towards building a new children’s playground at Jean-Maurice Lavergne Park.

The  Business Bootcamp is designed for farmers who are:

  • Eager to plan their expenses, revenue, and profits throughout a year
  • Stuck on how to market their products
  • Looking to build confidence in their ability to run a farm business
  • Overwhelmed with where to look for loans, grants, and other sources of funding
  • Excited to have guidance from other farmers who have been in their shoes
  • Unsure how to calculate the financial feasibility of their farm dream
  • Seeking structure to guide them through the process of developing a business plan

Foodpreneur Advantage

The Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre, in partnership with the London Small Business Centre and with the support of the Eastern Ontario Agri-Food Network, is launching a new program: Foodpreneur Advantage.

This program offers excellent resources for aspiring food entrepreneurs in our region. Through introductory seminars and training (no cost to participate!), participants will gain the knowledge and support needed to turn their food business ideas into reality. The program runs four times per year, with the next session starting August 16th.
