2023 PR Warden’s Banquet

Posted on : 2023-11-22

On the remarkable evening of November 18th, the charming village of Vankleek Hill took center stage as the prestigious Prescott Russell Wardens Banquet unfolded. This event was a splendid opportunity for networking, bringing together individuals with a shared passion for fostering connections and celebrating community spirit. The culinary offerings were nothing short of extraordinary, capturing my personal admiration.

As a delightful token to remember the evening, each participant received a special gift from La Cabane de Gars – a jar of exquisite maple syrup, adding a touch of local charm to the festivities. It was an evening filled with camaraderie, gastronomic delights, and meaningful connections to be treasured.

On the evening of October 21st, the scenic town of Chesterville played host to the illustrious SDG Wardens Banquet. This gathering was a splendid occasion for networking, where like-minded individuals came together to foster connections and share in the spirit of community. The culinary delights served were nothing short of exquisite, but the cherry cheesecake, a symphony of flavors, stood out as my personal favorite. As a delightful parting gift, each attendee was bestowed with a jar of honey, courtesy of the esteemed Smirlholm Farms. It was a night of camaraderie, gastronomic delights, and connections to cherish.

RTO9 Regional Tourism Summit 2023

Posted on : 2023-09-13

On Friday, September 8th, we were at the RTO9 Regional Tourism summit at the Kingston Holiday Inn. We had a great day filled with valuable information and conversation. We were not only able to talk about our branding and what we do at our booth but also, Louis Béland, our Executive Director, spoke to all the attendees about what we have going on and what is to come.

We also met some new businesses and shared some thoughts with one of our existing members, Fauxmagerie Zengarry. All in all, neither Louis nor I went home empty-handed after seeing so many great products at the vendor’s booths.

We are grateful for the opportunity to speak at the event and look forward to future partnerships and growth.

On July 5th the EOAN participated with our booth at the HGH Foundation’s Golf Tournament.

Thank you to Vergers Villeneuve for offering us 3 kinds of wine for golfers to sample. Curiosity and interest struck when they heard about the dandelion wine. Thank you also to Vankleek Hill Vineyard for lending us some bottle openers and to GoFM and Kathy Chaumont from the CSDCEO for keeping us company. The sense of community is what makes Eastern Ontario worth savouring!

We will be participating in other golf tournaments throughout the rest of the summer! We look forward to seeing some of you there!

On June 16th, we were able to attend the SDG 2023 Warden’s Breakfast catered by Simply Baked Catering. Not only was the food exemplary but the talks were also as such. Our Executive Director, Louis, was able to share a bit on the EOAN’s upcoming plans/projects. We also heard from other speakers, notably Dr. Kim Hellemans, a teaching professor and the Associate Dean of Science (Recruitment and Retention) at Carleton University, whose talk was well appreciated by our team.

  • We have unique water, with Caledonia Springs.
